An airplane of Aeroméxico was kidnapped "avion secuestrado en mexico", Wednesday after flying off of the runway from the popular tourism area of Cancún, although the airplane was parked for several minutes time in the airport, approximately 100 passengers and crew were released unharmed.

Five people were stopped in an operation where the federal police took part. The authorities announced that flight 576 of the Mexican airline had problems and the secretary of Communications and Transports, Juan Molinar Horcasitas, notified the flight “Had a threat of kidnapping and a threat to the security of the flight”.

The Airline halted all ground operations for a period of 4 hours while they conducted their investigation.
